The quote for today is

Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard. -Shreya

We all have talents of some kind. Some come naturally and some come through much practice. I believe that you can start with a talent naturally, but through hard work, you can be more successful with that talent. Don’t be disheartened by those that seem to come by things naturally. Keep trying hard, keep persevering, because your hard work is more important than talent. You can’t rely on talent alone, you just have a strong work ethic as well.

Personally, my talent is in academics. All through high school I did well in my classes. I loved learning, I excelled, and I graduated Valedictorian of my class of 17 (small school!). I then went on to college where I realized I had to WORK HARD to get an A. I also learned that a B and even a C was okay, if it was truly a reflection of my hard work and not my being lazy. I had to learn to study, to ask for help, and take good notes. I had to get over my fear of approaching a professor and ask how to improve my grade. Through my hard work, I graduated with honors and went on to get my Masters Degree.

You can do anything you want, be anyone you want, with hard work.

What does this quote quote mean to you? What have you worked hard at to accomplish?
