Day 2: 100 Days of Summer Writing 2018

Day 2: 100 Days of Summer Writing 2018

Day 2: June 1

For the second day of the 100 Days of Summer Writing, I decided to write a poem. Surprisingly, I have found myself writing poetry more and more. There is something about the use of “less” words, yet more powerful words, really intrigues me. I find myself thinking in list form and thinking of how I can turn it into a poem. Take today, for example. I was at the pool with my daughter and began listing things I was seeing. I immediately grabbed my phone and recorded all of my ponderings so I could construct it into a poem later. I hope you enjoyed!

What style of writing do you prefer?

Happy writing!
