24in48 Readathon: July 21-22, 2018

What is a 24in48 readathon? Head on over to the 24in48 for more details, but basically, the goal is to read for 24 hours in the next 48 hours.

I really tried to make it this time! I participated in January and read for 12 hours, which wasn’t bad…but I want to do go for 24! I have silent alarms set on my Fitbit and I had many books for my many moods over the weekend.

Here is how I did!

I am really proud of myself. I had trouble staying awake at night, so I would probably only get 10-15 minutes at each hour. However, I read pretty much all day.

My favorite part? I got caught up on the Amulet series by Kazu Kibuishi! I am now early awaiting the arrival of book 8 in September and definitely understand why my students love these books. My new goals: get a class set of these books and a poster of one of the scenes because the illustrations…hands down some of the best I’ve ever seen. They are so beautiful.

Here are some of the covers of books I finished. All were wonderful reads.

I look forward to the next readathon in January and hope you can join!

Happy reading!

Hey, 10 hours is still great! What books did you read? I am mad at myself because I could have made 24…but I slept too long at night. I am not one that can go without sleep…
