Book Review: May B by Caroline Starr Rose

4 stars
September 22-29

I chose this book because it was in our class Book Tasting and the cover grabbed my attention. I was hooked within the five minutes that I had to read it and went straight to the library to get my own copy. It was a quick read as it is written in verse. There was some confusion and I think part of it comes with the poetry aspect. You do not always get all of the information. Caroline Rose liked to give subtle hints, but sometimes I felt I just needed her to tell me what was going on. I am still not sure exactly why May was sent with this couple, but it does make me want to research more about that during this time period. Overall, an enjoyable and suspenseful book.
