August Wrap Up

August Wrap Up

A good month of reading was had!

Here is a quick glimpse of what I read this month. You can read more of my reviews on my previous posts and in my vlog.

The most memorable adult read would be The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez. She is quickly becoming a favorite adult romance writer. This book BROKE ME though. And…not entirely happy about the ending..but overall a good read and I jumped into the second book immediately.

My most memorable young adult book is a lot harder to pick…because all of these books were soooo good! I mean, Divine Rivals is simply…shall I say it? DIVINE. And everyone should read Warrior Girl Unearthed. The Illuminae Files series was a blast and The Grace Year was perfect. Also really loved House of Marionne. So there ya go. 🙂

Memorable middle grade reads would be We Still Belong because it was told over a period of one day and had so many important and tough topics-with a touch of romance. Also, A Work In Progress was fantastic as well as Vanderbeekers on the Road. That series will always hold a special place in my heart.

In terms of goals…

I had 3 main goals:

  • Read more books I own
  • Read August ARCs
  • Read for my various book clubs

Here’s how I did!

  • 3 books I own
  • 4 ARCs
  • 1 book club ( and really that was all I needed this month)

So that’s what I read! What did you read?

Thank you!

Happy reading and take care.

Love how you do the video but also write things out for those of us who don’t have the patience for videos! I loved The Davenports, and you’ll enjoy A First Time For Everything (looks like it isn’t checked). I’m always reading something, but have been in a bit of a reading funk. So many books that are just NOT what my students request. It’s horrible to have a book that students will not pick up. Hope you have a good week ahead planned.

Thank you! I love making videos, but also writing-so I am glad you appreciate having options too.

I hate that you are in a funk-students evolve so much and every year is so different. Hope it gets better!
