My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love this book on the creatures of the Galapagos! The soft illustrations that show such hilarious (but also trash) Benjamin tries on to be someone else is great. I love the message of self-love and finding your value, but also the deeper message of trash that litters the beaches. This is a silly book that will be a favorite! Thank you Pajama Press for sharing.

Use in the classroom

  • Talk about littering and being environmentally friendly (even though Benjamin isn’t harmed by using the trash, it does seem to be all over his home).
  • Being yourself and what parts of you help you be yourself.
  • Learning about the creatures of the Galapagos and what features they have that help them survive.

Happy Reading!
