Books I Finished
Unsouled is the third book in the Unwind Dystology. If you have not read these books by Shusterman, then you should bump them up on your list. He is a genius writer and I am already planning a reread because of something I noticed in the third book that I have to investigate further. This series is very violent and I would not recommend to my sixth graders, but I would recommend to older students.
Hey, Kiddo broke my heart over and over again. It is also more mature with language and tough issues the main character faces. It is a powerful book that I feel could connect with so many readers on so many levels. I would not recommend to my sixth graders, but I would recommend to those older.
It Wasn’t Me was a great mystery! It was full of middle school tough topics and humor. I was guessing the entire book on who trashed Theo’s photography. I loved the message in this book and look forward to reading more from Levy. She is a fantastic writer. I would definitely recommend to my sixth graders and plan on purchasing a copy for our classroom library.
