2017 My Year In Books

2017 My Year In Books

Reading Goals

I must say, I am very proud of myself this year! Last year was the year that I really re-ingited my love for reading. That love just kept going this year! I must say that some of the challenges I participated in including my local library’s summer reading program and Donalyn Miller’s Bookaday challenge really helped me stay motivated. However, my biggest motivator would have to be my students. They are constantly asking me for book recommendations, asking what I am reading, and telling me what I must read next. I love our conversations and would not have read this many books without their help.

Out of the 167 books, 87 of them were Middle School level and the link to view them is here.

Some of my favorites from that list include the following (In no particular order, because it was hard enough getting it narrowed down to 10!)

Blogging Goals

I also had a goal of 100 followers on my blog and I currently have 75. Not too bad! I have counted the followers on Bloglovin’, it I know I have several email subscribers as well. Thank you for following me! (That sounds odd if not in the context of blogs…)

Instagram Bookstagramming Goals

I had a goal of 1,000 followers on Instagram and I currently have 874.

What were your goals for 2017? Did you meet them? What goals will you set for 2018?

I am a middle school teacher who loves to read. I am part of the ARC-sharing group LitReviewCrew and a creator for the YouTube Channel Legit KidLit.
