Poem #10: Begin with Setting

Poem #10: Begin with Setting

National Poetry Month

Day 10: Begin with Setting

I am a little behind (I should be on Day 17), but I am hoping to stay motivated, write more, and finish strong! I am halfway through the month with 10 poems down. I am super proud of myself for writing 10 poems, and I appreciate all of the wonderful feedback  I have received!

This poem is Poem #17 on The Poem Farm’s blog by Amy LV.

This style is one in which you begin your poem with the setting. I chose my favorite place at home, my backporch swing. What is your favorite place? I love my swing because I can watch my daughter play, I can read and swing, I can listen to the birds and the cows, and I feel at peace.

Here is my poem. Enjoy.
