It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

Hello again! Time for my weekly recap and goals. It’s been a wonderful reading week and a great writing week. I am pretty proud of myself and hope to keep the momentum going this week.

What I Finished

As you can see, I read quite a few graphic novels. I have been focusing quite a bit on my NetGalley ARCs as well as my books for the Lit Review Crew. I decided I needed a graphic novel break, so I picked up a stack this weekend and dove in!

My top picks for this week are The Long Ride, On The Come Up, and Caterpillar Summer. These three books all dealt with race in different yet also similar ways. They also featured characters trying to discover who they are and the character development in these books are all so beautiful.

I will have a larger review of The Long Ride coming soon. It is released in September and you will need to buy it. Preorder now!

Option Pile

It’s time to get back into my ARCs and reviews! My goals this week include catching up on reviews and reading these books:

Bookaday and 100 Days of Writing Check-In

I have finished 22 books so far! My goal is 84 by August 15.
My writing during the first week was not strong and I did not write everyday. However, this second week has been much better!

What are your goals for this week?

Happy reading and writing friends. Thanks for stopping by.

I am a middle school teacher who loves to read. I am part of the ARC-sharing group LitReviewCrew and a creator for the YouTube Channel Legit KidLit.

My sister visited over the weekend, so no reading for me! But, I had fun visiting with her. You read some great books this past week! I also want to read PS I Still Love You by Jenny Han soon. Good luck with your goals!
