Weekly Blog Post: It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

Every Monday, I will *try* to post what I have read, blogged, and hope to read. This meme is hosted by The Book Date.

Books Finished

  • The Seventh Wish by Kate Messner
  • I Will Always Write Back by Caitlin Alifirenka
  • A Night Divided by Jennifer Nielsen (read aloud with my students)

I am still in the process of writing blog posts for these books, so stay tuned! I will say, I Will Always Write Back is probably one of the most powerful stories I have read in awhile. It is a must read. Seriously. Read it now.

Currently Reading

  • Illustrated Edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
  • The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling
  • Refugee by Alan Gratz
  • The Wild Robot by Peter Brown
  • Pax by Sarah Pennypacker (read aloud with my students)

Goals for the Week

I really hope to finis the Harry Potter book and Refugee. I am reading The Jungle Book to my daughter and it will take us quite some time to finish it. I am not sure how much I like it, but I tend to just stick it out for her with her bedtime reading. We only read for about 10 to 15 minutes, so it is not much time.

I know that I will finish Pax with my students as well this week.

I also need to get a lot of review on the blog! Too many to list…so check back regularly!
