It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

It was a slow reading week for me, but a good one nonetheless. I read some really amazing and thought-provoking books.

What I finished

Focused and Odd One Out we’re both eye opening novels on finding yourself. Focused is about Clea who is diagnosed with ADHD and although this diagnosis helps her see why she struggles with some tasks and gives her tools to be successful, she is very hard on herself.

We’re Not From Here is a great novel that although it is humorous and seems silly, it touches on some serious and mature issues about refugees, nuclear war, and acceptance.

Option Pile

I am reading Restart and The Magic of Melwick Orchard with my students. I hope to finish Melwick Orchard this week and then start Restart with that group.

I am listening to Resistance and want to get about halfway through it.

The NetGalley eARC I am currently reading is Up For Air. I hope to finish it this week.

Finally, I am reading The Absence of Sparrows for the Lit Review Crew and aim to finish today!

Other Goals

I am way behind on reviews for my Lit Review Crew, so I aim to get caught up this week.

I am also behind in tracking my reading and will sit down and get that caught up as well.

I have set a writing goal in order to push myself to write daily. I am tracking my writing in my journal and will share at the end of the month. I am really excited to jump into more writing. I think it will be good for me.

Finally, I am feeling creative and made this art from Other Words For Home by Jasmine Warga. I hope to create more.

What are your goals? Successes?

Have a beautiful week and happy reading.
