Mini Review: Scarlet’s Magic Paintbrush by Melissa Stoller and Illustrated by Sandie Sonke

“They weren’t perfect, but they were hers.”

This picture book written by Melissa Stoller and illustrated by Sandie Sonke is a definite five star read. The illustrations by Sonke are magical and lovely. They are simple, yet detailed and I love the colors used. The writing is also magical and is a great book to show everyone, not just kids, that you can do amazing things. You don’t need anything fancy-no fancy notebook or computer-you just need your imagination and perseverance and you can do anything. What you make may not be perfect, but they will be 100% yours and loving yourself and what you can make is what it is all about.

If this sounds like a book for you, you can purchase on Indie Bound. If you have read it, I would love to hear your thoughts.

This picture book was shared with the Lit Review Crew and we are so thankful. It is now going to continue its journey to the next crew member!

Happy reading.
