So, we are in a weird time right now. The Corona Virus (COVID-19) has school cancelled and everyone scrambling to the stores to stock up on supplies. We are being told to stay home as much as possible and frankly, I am having trouble.

I am having trouble focusing.

I feel helpless.

I took action.

I have emailed my students a couple of times, even though technically we are on Spring Break. I am starting several online book clubs next week and will be reading “live” through Zoom. I am also going to have some “check-ins” where we can just chat and share our lives. I am really looking forward to this new journey with my students, even though I would rather we be together at school without this chaos.

Along with working with my students and checking in with them, I want to be more present here on my blog and with reading. So, I am planning on posting author interviews and features each week, reviews more often, and showcasing books I am reading. I am also thinking about using some video formats…so we will see.

I believe that having a purpose is what I need to move forward. I urge you to find your purpose.

What are you doing during this time to keep yourself focused and productive?

What would you like to see on my blog?

Stay safe. Stay healthy.
