Spring Break Reading

Spring Break Reading

Last week was Spring Break and the start of social distancing…but even though I had a ton of time on my hands, I had trouble focusing on books. I did manage to finish 7 books last week, which is a book a day! I am proud of myself for that.

Books I Finished

My favorite book from above was Kwame’s Undefeated. He has such talent when writing poetry. I was drawn in. I was in tears. It was beautiful. Anya and the Dragon was a great MG fantasy and Once Upon an Eid was a great short story collection-both of these books were provided by NetGalley in exchange for honest reviews. Like Nothing Amazing Ever Happened broke my heart over and over again. It is a powerful book centered on a boy grieving for his father who was killed in an accident. I did enjoy it though and would recommend.

Currently Reading

I am currently listening to Stand Up, Yumi Chung! Thanks to Libro.fm for providing audiobooks for teachers. If you haven’t found Libro…go. Now. Free books? I’m in.

So, how was your week? Did you have trouble focusing? What did you read?
