Dragons in a Bag by Zetta Elliott (Podcast feature with author too!)

My Read to Write KidLit book club recently read Dragons in a Bag by Zetta Elliott to see how she worked her magic in a lower middle grade hit series. I thoroughly enjoyed the first book and will read the next. It’s short, but packs a punch AND hits on important topics such as gentrification and inclusion.

Read below to learn more about the book and a link to the Read to Write KidLit podcast where we talked with the great Zetta about writing.

About the Book

My Thoughts

I gave this book 5 STARS! At 160 pages, this book was quick, full of fun and quirky characters, and had a great mystery. The magic was really interesting too.

If you are fans of Magic Tree House and dragons…this is the book for you!
