My Thoughts

One of my favorite scenes. It shows the fun this family has, despite their sadness.

Over the last couple of years, many students have told me I had to read this series. This is a special series because it reaches across all levels of readers. Many of my less confident readers gravitate towards this book, but many of my advanced readers latch on to it as well. I love books that can be discussed across all audiences.

I am a huge fantasy reader, so this book was right up my alley. I loved the creatures, the elvish-looking character, and the mystery. This book tore my heart out in the beginning, and I definitely want to know how their story ends, so I will be reading the rest of the series.

I recommend this book to fellow fantasy and graphic novel readers.

On a side note, when I looked up the publication date, I noticed this book was published ten years ago, today! So, Happy Tenth Anniversary Stonekeeper. My students read you like it was published yesterday. Great job standing the test of time!
