Happy Book Birthday to Lorien Lawrence and The Stitchers

Happy Book Birthday to Lorien Lawrence and The Stitchers

Lorien Lawrence’s debut spooky middle grade The Stitchers is out today and you need to grab yourself a copy.

Why?

  • Creepy neighbors that never seem to age
  • Friendship
  • Mystery
  • Nasty pond that has an orange glow
  • Spying
  • Grieving over loss of a loved one
  • Beginnings of a romance

I used to say that I was too chicken for spooky reads, but I have changed my tune. After reading The Peculiar Incidents if Shady Street and then City of Bones, I felt confident to keep reading scary books. My students love scary books, so I need to be able to recommend some to them. I moved on to Small Spaces and then Scritch Scratch. After finishing The Stitchers I can say I am ready to call myself a lover of spooky mglit!

The Stitchers is a perfect blend of spooky and middle school life and experiences. I highly recommend to readers of all ages-who are ready for a good creep out.

Thank you NetGalley and Abrams Books for sharing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
