I’m a huge fan of Mac Barnett’s and his way with words and Jon Klassen’s illustrations are so fun and dark and beautiful. This retelling is everything I wanted-it’s poetic, it’s hilarious and it’s just great. It would be a fun read aloud for teachers to use in a fairy tale lesson. Thank you Scholastic!
